Last year, my husband and I bought a Kingdown Malbec mattress. It was okay at first, but after about 9 months, my side became really flattened out -- it was like sleeping in a canyon and it was giving me back pain. I submitted a warranty claim to Mattress Firm and they gave us credit to pick out another mattress. We selected a Sealy hybrid mattress, which was delivered about three weeks ago and was good at first. But now, I am noticing once again a body impression/canyon forming on my side, with my side noticeably flatter than my husband's and a ridge in the middle where neither of us sleeps. After three weeks!
I am not a wildly overweight or large person and my husband and I weigh about the same. I don't, however, tend to toss and turn during the night -- I lie there like a corpse -- but I really don't think that should matter, especially after less an a year and, in the case of the Sealy, less than a month!
I will get in touch with Mattress Firm again, but what am I going to do? This is now the second time this has happened, and even more rapidly, and I fear no matter what mattress we choose, it'll be the same story. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Is there a mattress anyone could recommend that might not do this? It seems like the more "mattress technology" these companies come up with, the shittier the products end up being.
