There are several mods that introduce items that speed up the tick rate locally. Examples include time torches and items similar to them. Now you want to put this next to the Smeltery controller.

Between Ender IO, AE2, and some nifty redstone, it can be fully automated.

r/feedthebeast on Reddit: [Infinity] TiC Smeltery not smelting high temperature items?
June 18, 2015 -

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its a bug, but when I place glowstone into the smeltery to smelt it into energized glowstone, it starts to smelt but then it gets stuck. it keeps draining lava, but the progress bar stops moving and it never completes.

I've noticed this also happening with other items with high melting points in the recipe as well, such as when i try to smelt colored redstone into destabilized redstone, and coal dust into liquifacted coal.

I've tried expanding my smeltery and putting in more lava, but to no avail.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Smeltery not hot enough · Issue #1518 · SlimeKnights/TinkersConstruct
April 3, 2015 - I have tried with both the normal seared brick smeltery (the one with sand, gravel, clay yo make grout) as well as the advanced smeltery (the one with gravel soulsand and netherwart) and neither seems to get hot enough to smelt colored redstone into destabilized redstone.

All the Mods 6 Tinker's Construct "Not Enough Heat"

Soul lava is one liquid that works. Can find it in the Other. Check the recipe in JEI and select the tab at the top which shows the smelter recipe. It will tlel you what temp is needed / what liquid is hot enough.

1.10 Smeltery temperature
Not unless IC2 adds its own fuel to melt the ore. Tinkers Construct only provides lava by default which has a temperature of 1000. If another mod adds a recipe that requires a hotter temperature, it is entirely on them to add a fuel that allows the smeltery to reach that heat. More on reddit.com

Is there a way to speed up the smeltery's smelting process? - Star Vibe
2 weeks ago - val goldDef = <liquid:gold>.definition; goldDef.temperature = 50300; mods.tconstruct.Fuel.registerFuel(<liquid:gold>,10); Casting time is defined in each casting recipe, and there is no uniform API to change that. However, since TConstruct is open source...... The logic behind casting is coded in the class TileCasting: if(timer >= recipe.getTime()) { TinkerCastingEvent.OnCasted event = TinkerCastingEvent.OnCasted.fire(recipe, this); //And some other operations }

March 18, 2026 - The higher the temperature rating, the quicker the smelting occurs. Fuel temperature ratings can be found in a table below · Some materials can be combined as liquids within the smeltery to create new materials. This process is called alloying. To provide an example of how this works, let's say you want to create some Aluminum Brass.

5 days ago - Likewise, info on the upgraded Smeltery can be found in Mighty Smelting, which can be made by connecting a faucet to the Melter, placing a casting table below it, placing a book on the table, and pouring seared stone over it. Begin construction by placing a 3x3 base of Seared Bricks.

Get a smelteable item (eg. a block of cobblestone) 4. Open the smeltery controller gui and look at the fuel tooltip: It should display "Temperature: 1300" 5.

Smeltery IO - Minecraft Mod
This mod was inspired by Tinker I/O, and has some very similar functions. However, this mod requires fuel in the form of Snowballs to speed up your casting. Also the casting process can be completely automated by turning on the function to allow upgrades and casts to be inserted/extracted. To make the mod easier to use, I suggest grabbing Upsizer Mod as well as a mod that can allow you to make Snowballs. ... Requires a form of Solid Fuel. You can heat up your Smeltery to much higher temperatures than with Liquid Fuels (Still required to make the Smeltery work).
