I've done this in my office and the attached bath (both shown in the album linked to above). It is holding up great after more than a year of use with a roller chair on it. r/HomeImprovement on Reddit: Vinyl Flooring on a Concrete Slab?
January 2, 2018 -

Hi Everyone,

I saw a similar question to this recently but can't find it and I think this is a bit different. We have a (dry) concrete slab in a utility room we are going to connect with the main house and the wife wants a "nicer" floor. She wants to use peel and stick vinyl for now, but with the option to upgrade to tile later. I had originally planned to put in a 3/4" plywood subfloor but from all I'm reading I can't really verify if that is necessary or not. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
