I have a bunch of items in storage drawers that I want to keep restocked with factory gauges, but it seems like I need a factory gauge for each item and also need to place them on a packager, so what would the best way to accomplish this be? Is it possible to do without using 10 packagers?

Basically, you just want to make a wall of factory gauges somewhere that are linked to the network. You can hide them out of sight, if you want. Set each of them to a corresponding item in your Storage Drawer wall, then set the amount you want them to maintain, then have *one* packager/frogport named "Storage" (just for example) that plugs into your Drawer Controller. Then, on each factory gauge you just have to set the address that each request to be fulfilled will be sent to ("Storage"). So, to explain it a little simpler: Say you have a single 2x2 drawer that has Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Wool in it, and you want to maintain a stack of each. - Attach the Drawer controller to that drawer (the DC acts as the inventory that the packager will "unpack" into). - Place a Packager connected to the DC (the "input port" texture of the Packager should show up when you place it, connected to the DC. Basically, the side of the packager facing the DC should have a different texture). - Place a Stock Link on that packager, connecting it to the rest of your network. - Place a Frogport on top of the packager and rename it "Storage" (again, just for example) after linking it to the nearest Chain Conveyor line (alternatively, you could just use an address-filtered Brass Funnel or something, but Frogports/Chain Conveyors are "smarter" systems). - Place 4 Factory Gauges on a wall somewhere, and put a piece of Red Wool in one, Green in another, etc. - Right click each FG with an empty hand to set the addresses where the items will be delivered to "Storage". - Then, just right-click-and-hold on each FG to set the desired 1 Stack threshold amount (goes up to 100 Stacks). This _*should*_ automatically request each item from your connected logistics network (wherever they're located), send them along whatever paths they need to take (Chain Conveyors are probably the easiest, and you need them for the final Frogport anyway) to get to your storage and the Frogport should swallow them, then Packager should unpack them into the DC, and it should sort them into their drawers. Then, when you take out items below the thresholds you set, they should automatically be replenished! 😎👍

If you don't care where in your system they're stocked, you just need to add a factory gauge to the stock network and place it anywhere, like you would for autocrafting. You only have to place it on a packager if you want to keep that amount of that item in stock specifically in the inventory the packager connects to.

I have a storage system with frogports and packagers and stuff. You load stuff into the system at the stock keeper and it goes into a max-size item vault with an unlabeled frogport. Then I have bulk storage for specific items like cobblestone which uses factory gauges, so if any cobblestone ends up in the main vault it gets immediately shipped back out to the cobblestone vault.

This works pretty well, but I'm worried about it backing up. The factory gauges top out at 100 stacks which is far less than a vault can hold. I know you can use threshold switches to prevent overproducing, and I could address cobblestone packages directly to the cobblestone frogport to ensure mass-production ends up in the right place, but any cobblestone I manually input would end up just clogging my main storage.

Is there a way to automatically make the main port send ALL cobblestone to that vault without having to add an extra packager to the main vault for every bulk storage item?

If a frogport connects directly to a conveyor that will lead to a target inventory, is there any way to make the system recognize that? Basically cut out the middle-man?

In an ideal world, I could use the stock network to order a package by train just by typing in my mailbox address, but that's probably not how far it goes. From some minor experimentation (as a newbie dumbass) it cannot recognize anything but chains conveyors as a valid method of delivery.

I'm aware you could just do that by having a dedicated mail frog, that gives it to a train that passes every mail stop, so it's not impossible, I'm just wondering if one can do it so you simply give it a target and the system works out the rest, as long as it's connected properly.

r/CreateMod on Reddit: How do I make a stock ticker have a default package address?
June 17, 2025 -

Hey there,

My friend and I have been playing around with Create. A while ago, he set up our first stock keeper and stock ticker. When we click on the friendly frog (our stock ticker), the package address label is already filled in with a "default" address — we don’t need to enter the sub-menu to select it. Like in this screenshot:

However, when we tried to set up a second stock ticker elsewhere (linked to the first one), the address bar is empty by default, like this:

The thing is, I want the second one to behave the same way — auto-filled with a default address — but my friend can't remember how he did it, and I couldn’t find anything online.

Does anyone know how to set this up?

Edit : Here's a quick video for you to see how things are more accurately.

Hey everyone, I was playing minecolonies and create with a bunch of create and minecolonies addons and always got frustrated by not being able to automate requests, like who said that my create mega city and my colony couldn't talk to each other.

And as Jeff goldblum says life finds a way. So I did,

I made a mod Create: Colony Logistics, https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/cclogistics built for both types of players wether your more into create but dabble in minecolonies or your heavy into minecolonies. I would really like the feedback, it's only v 1.0.0 but I haven't coded for Minecraft since I was creating plugins for 1.7.10 bukkit.

2 buildings

The Freight Depot: The heart of your new supply chain. This MineColonies building acts as a two-way bridge between your colony's request system and a Create Stock Ticker

The Foremen's Hut: The administrative center for your logistics network. From this building, you can monitor live shipping manifests and manage your specialized logistics workers.

And a block

Logistics Controller: A dedicated routing computer. Use its custom UI to map exactly which Create network addresses correspond to your colony Buildings, allowing for pinpoint accuracy when importing and exporting goods skipping the warehouse middleman.

3 new citizens

The Logistics Coordinator: This worker constantly audits your main Warehouse. When they detect excess inventory (over 128 items), they generate internal pickup requests to clear the clutter.

The Packer Agent: Stationed at the Freight Depot, the Packer takes the excess items gathered from your colony, physically packs them into Create Cardboard Packages, and ships them off to your global Create network. They also unpack incoming shipments!

The Freight Inspector: The paper-pusher of the operation. The Inspector physically travels between the Freight Depot and the Foremen's Hut, collecting incoming and outgoing shipping logs so you can monitor your imports and exports in real-time via the Foremen's Hut GUI.

It's as simple as 1,2,3

Link it up: Use the Logistics Linker item to bind your Freight Depot to a Create Stock Ticker.

Importing: When a Builder or Crafter in your colony needs an item that isn't in the Warehouse, the Freight Depot automatically intercepts the request and asks the Create network for it. The items are delivered, unpacked by the Packer, and sent to the Warehouse.

Exporting: When your colony generates too much of an item, the Coordinator flags it. The Packer Agent takes the excess, boxes it up, and sends it back to the Create network for sorting, smelting, or storage!

r/CreateMod on Reddit: How can I use factory gauges to keep a specific item vault stocked with a ton of different types of items from different vaults? And how do I pick items out of a vault with a frogport on its packager?
March 2, 2026 -

I'm very new to the items added in the update that added packagers, and am having some problems with factory gagues. I want to create a big factory that produces items that are used to produce other items; the thing thay factory gauges are made for. I however want to keep a large stock of everything that I'm producing, which would fill up the main storage very quickly. I was thus thinking of storing large bulks of what I produce in seperate vaults where they are actually produced, and then just use factory gsuges to keep small stocks of those items in the main storage so that I can take them out quickly. If I understand factory gagues though (which I am very sceptical that I do) this will only be possible if the factory gagues are placed on the main storage's packager. Since I will want a huge amount of items to be restocked though there won't be enough space for it. To my understanding placing gauges on areas other than packagers it serves a different function?

As a bonus question, how am I supposed to pick items out of the vault? I have a stock ticker that lets me output packages, but since I have a frogport above it (as it of course needs to recieve items to be stocked), it automatically places it on the chain conveyor. Do I have to do the jank solution where I have a wildcard frogport directly after to pick it up or does there exist any more sensible solutions?
