You guys have made some Great models. I am currently Building a Ship myself. (75x30x45cm)
I want to put it in a nice clear case so that it stays clean and Nice. The Ones sold online are very expensive though, any thoughts on how to get a cheap One or how to build One?

x-post from r/anime. Hi r/diy! I'm pretty new to buying figurines and recently went on a figurine shopping spree online. However, I don't have a good place to display them. I have one of these APEX cases I got from Amazon, but it's only good for Nendoroid sized figures and there's a lot of wasted space I can't use.
I'm not very crafty, and I don't have any tools, but I really want something custom sized/fitted. I'm thinking of a plastic box like the one I got for my Nendoroid collection, and maybe individual boxes for my Figma and 1/8th scale models. I'm willing to give my hand at making something myself, but also open to the idea of professionals building it for me.
A display cabinet might be worth considering too, but there's no way I can build something like that myself. I hope someone can point me in the right direction, thanks!
p.s. While I'm at it, is there a way to easily put some sort of lighting into a display case to make it look nice?
I'd like to make an custom acrylic/plexiglass/plastic display case with a hinged door and lock. And 3-5 shelves. However, I don't really know where to being or where I can look for advice.
Basically, something like these but a large scale.
My measurements:
36 inches wide 12 to 16 inches deep 48 to 60 inches tall
Any and all advice is welcome! Thanks.
