Hi guys, I just built my very first storage system and I'm eager to start using it, but I ran into a problem trying to use categories on the stock link.

With chests, I usually have some labelled "stone", which contain all my stone blocks and their building variants like slabs and stairs. Then I also have one or two chests labelled "wood" which contain logs, planks, stairs, slabs, sticks, etc.

For my stock link, I'd really like to use similar categories. The only way to do so with filters that I know of is to manually specify each and every item in a regular filter, since I don't see anything on the attribute filter that could help with this.

Does anybody know if there's a quicker way to specify which items go in which category? If not, I'd love to know how you use categories, if you use them at all. Thanks!

At first I thought that there were many "free stock APIs", however I see in their terms that they are only for personal use.

I am only interested in historical data, I don't need recent or real time data.

How is it possible that you need to pay hundreds of dollars just to access historical data / facts that are publicly known?

Hi there, I design financial-based web apps that perform all kinds of stock market functions and analysis. My first question is, what do you want to build and why? Would you like to monetize your work somehow via advertising or subscriptions, etc.? I only ask because unless you are using stock data on your own computer and not making it available to others via an app or a website, you are really not going to find anything legally for free. I pay for several services and I can say that the biggest advantage to that is that you can rely on your data to be working most all of the time. If you are using a free "hack" you never know when everything will just shut off and if you need reliability, you should really pay for a feed. Anyway, hit me up if you want to chat about your project, goals and so forth. I've helped numerous people over the years set up their own, customized SaaS businesses revolving around financial dashboards, etc. Cheers!

You can kinda hack yahoo finance requests. Only thing is that yahoo is pre adjusted for spits and everything. I’ve also used Alpha vantage , I find the data to be cleaner but you have a limitation of how many requests you can make per minute.
