Side runners are required for drawer support. Like you, I found no video showing the installation of the center mount wooden glides. MadMark provided the link to the written instructions, which I assume you also saw on the Rockler Web Site under Technical Documents. After reviewing these instructions, I can see why you are looking for some tips. The major challenges I can see is ensuring proper positioning the center guide and slides so that the drawer slides in and out parallel to the carcase sides and perpendicular to the face frame.

r/woodworking on Reddit: Center Mount Full Extension Drawer Slides
9 July 2023 -

Does anyone make full extension center mount drawer slides? I am trying to retrofit drawer slides to 1940s cabinets and without having to remake drawer faces I am limited to center mount slides. I can't seem to find anything that would fit the bill. Bottom mount slides that mount to the sides of the drawer won't fit either.

r/woodworking on Reddit: Best Way to Add Drawer Slides to Inherited Dresser
9 January 2024 -

I inherited this dresser from my grandparents and swapped the hardware out with those pictured. However the drawers slip down when opened Ian’s are just riding on a single track piece on the bottom. I’d like to add drawer slides to make this more functional but I’ve never done something like that. I’m fairly handy but wanted to see if y’all had any recommendations on which to use or resources to help with how to do it. Thanks in advance!

7 July 2017 - I think I would use the Blum and notch the drawer box sides to accommodate the pan-- would be a nice custom touch and the slides would be a class above the KV or another center-mount. My .02 ... Bill, I had originally misunderstood your post. I confused your center-of-the-drawer slide with the ones that go on the sides in the center of the vertical sides. It would seem that trying to fit a 13" wide frying pan on a 13.25 inch wide drawer is going to be a challenge. I suppose that you could make a removeable "platform" that drops onto the drawer, on which the pan lays on the top of the drawer and centered left-to-right/back to front.
