r/travel on Reddit: How early do I need to notify credit card companies about travel?
February 27, 2025 -

I am looking to start booking hotels, trains, flights, etc. in multiple European countries for a trip happening in a few months. I am already planning on letting my card companies know that I'll be abroad during that month, but if I start booking things now would that set off any alerts since I'm not abroad currently? Is there a way I should notify them about my current foreign transactions that I want to start making? Apologies if this is a silly question!
