You can use Logitech's Unifying software to change which devices are paired with a unifying dongle. Up to 6 unifying devices are supported. https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025297913

Further you can use the Logitech Connection utility to change which devices are paired to a non-unifying dongle. A keyboard and a mouse can share the dongle. https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025141574

As tetsujin said the two systems are not compatible, thus you cannot pair unifying with non unifying or vice versa. The OP cannot do what is wanted with the hardware they have, however they could add a unifying keyboard the dongle of the unifying mouse or add a non-unifying mouse to the dongle of the keyboard.

r/logitech on Reddit: K270 wireless unifying keyboard won't be recognized by receiver anymore.
October 12, 2023 -

Devices: Logitech K270 Unifying keyboard, Unifying USB receivers, Win 10 computer(s)

I have been using a K270 keyboard for years. It came with a Unifying receiver. Both always worked great. About a year ago, I bought an MX Master 3. This came with the same receiver. Until last week, I used both receivers at the same time. One for the mouse and one for the keyboard. Then I wanted to try out to use both devices on one receiver to have one more USB slot free. Pairing the keyboard on the other receiver worked fine with the Options or Options+ software. Unfortunately I found out during the week that the connection of the keyboard was not as stable as before. So I wanted to put the keyboard back on the old receiver. To do this, I first unpaired the keyboard from the new receiver. But the pairing with the old receiver did not work anymore. And also no more with the new one. It is impossible for me to pair the keyboard again at all. That is the problem. I was already able to successfully pair and unpair the mouse with both receivers. So that can't be the problem.

What I have tried so far:

- Options / Options+ / Unifying software / Logi Web Connect / SetPoint. All of them show me that no device can be found. However, I noticed that the pairing process is aborted about 2 seconds after I turn on the keyboard. Also, "Logitech HID-compliant Unifying keyboard" shows up in the control panel. when I do this and when I uninstalled it before. So somehow the receiver seems to recognize the keyboard, but the software still states that it has not recognized any device and the keyboard doesn't work.

- Reset the keyboard using Esc+O, Esc+O, Esc+B. Since the keyboard has no lights and no bluetooth, I can't tell if this does anything. In any case, it does not fix the problem.

- Uninstall and install all Logitech software.

- Remove and replace batteries

- Trying on different computers (with both receivers)

Is there any way to reset the USB receiver to factory settings? I am pretty sure that somewhere there is the problem. I rule out everything else, like sudden death of the keyboard or something. There are no such coincidences.

May 31, 2024 -

I have a k270 keyboard which I would like to pair to my unifying dongle (I have 4 other devices paired to this, I remember 8 is the maximum number of paired devices... right?).

Anyway, when I power the keyboard on/off - the software does see this change, but fails to pair. How can I debug this? Does this keyboard even support the unifying dongle?

Not all Logitech K270 keyboards are compatible with the "unifying" receivers - the ones that come as part of a set are not.
