It’s just… not worth. You’ll be getting 1% back. No point. Maybe for a finance plan but that’d be the only benefit. You need Apple Pay to get 3% back at the different bonus merchants they have.

I got myself an Apple Card for Christmas and am excited to start using it! However, I am considering what the best method of paying my bill would be...?
I've read that using Apple Cash makes the payment and resulting updates to the UI instantaneous, but why would I use that instead of paying from my checking account? It seems like an extra step. I get it if you have money in the savings account that you want to use to pay the bill, but would there be any other benefit or reason to use Apple Cash? What do you think of using the card for everything that isn't a bill, keeping all non-bill cash in the Apple Savings, and then transferring it to Apple Cash to pay at the end of the month? What do you use Apple Cash for? I really want to find a reason to use it.

Apple Cash, in my opinion, is akin to Zelle or Venmo or CashApp. Quick way to send money to friends/family for various reasons with built in capabilities to use it for actual purchases. As far as what you use the Apple Card for is up to you and your personal situation and other cards. I use my Apple Card specifically where the cash back beats the cash back of my other card. I think the general consensus of preferred method of paying would be to pay off the balance monthly and avoid any interest altogether. I wouldn’t personally transfer money to Apple Savings and then transfer it to Apple Cash and then to my Apple Card balance. That’s a lot of steps in my opinion. I personally linked up my bank account and have it set to auto-pay my monthly balance from that account. That leaves my Apple Savings for long-term growth, my Apple Cash for quick money between friends/family who also have Apple devices, and my Apple Card for whatever I deem best suited to be purchased on that card.
