Primarily use Apple Pay on my Watch
Do you use Apple Pay on your Apple Watch?
There are two things you want to enable:
-
Unlock with iPhone
-
Wrist Detection
This will lock your watch when you take it off. Once you put it on and unlock your phone, then your Watch is unlocked also. Your watch will stay unlocked until you take your watch off again. You can freely use ApplePay on your watch without having to worry about putting in a passcode.

How secure is Apple Pay?
When you pay in stores, neither Apple nor your device will send your actual card number to merchants. When you pay online in Safari or in apps, the merchant will only receive information you authorize to fulfil your order — such as your name, email address, and billing and shipping addresses.
When you pay with a debit or credit card, Apple doesn’t keep transaction information that can be tied back to you.

I thought I’d bring up the discussion because I feel like I rarely see others using their Watches to pay. I’ll even get comments occasionally from cashiers that will say something like - “I didn’t know you could use the Watch!”
If you primarily use your iPhone to pay in stores, let me know why. I’m genuinely curious to hear the benefits over the Watch!
