You want to do a factory reset. With out knowing if this dell has a recover partition or not it would be faster if you have access to another pc and a I think 8 gig usb drive to download a windows 10 image from Microsoft and format and reinstall windows. If it does have a recovery partition. You may be able to use that but it may require an admin password which you may or may not have. Google how to factory reset dell laptop from recovery partition. Is it a windows 11 machine or windows 10? For windows 11. Settings (the gear icon) Then menu Left bar System Right bar "Recovery" Right bar find "Reset this PC" and click "reset PC" You will be given two options one to keep your files and profiles the other makes the computer like it came from the factory. When you are done with that you will want to find the app "Dell Command Update" to update all of your drivers. Once everything is installed try again and again until it says that the computer is up to date. Then go to Settings Left column select "Windows update" At the top there is a button "Check for updates" and install the updates. More on reddit.com
