I usually like to have a fan by me when I'm recording a video. For cool air and to save money.
I know about noise gate and used that so my mic doesn't pick up the noise when my mic is idle, but not sure how to get rid of it when talking. When editing. I can hear the fan in the background but only when talking. I use a noise gate feature on there to get rid of any other background noise when I'm not talking.
Any suggestions?
I use vegas Edit for editing videos.

That's the thing. I don't have that as an option. Other than, "Custom". Which only displays AGC.
Hi there,
Thanks for bringing this up.
I'm Janelee, an Independent Advisor and community member like you. You got an awesome microphone with condenser there. My brother bought something like that too just recently actually. Let me help you on this.
- On the search bar, type Sound and press Enter.
- Select the Recording tab.
- Right-click on Microphone and click Properties.
- On the Properties window, select Enhancement tab and check(enable) the Noise Suppression and Acoustic Echo Cancellation feature.
- Click OK.
Let me know how it goes.
