You need to replace the existing slides with some full extension slides. Those are (probably) 3/4 slides. Measure your drawers and look for full extension slides in that length. Answer from gargoyle030 on reddit.com

r/BeginnerWoodWorking on Reddit: Is there a way to extend these drawer slides?
February 20, 2024 -

I just purchased this dresser from Wayfair and realized the drawers don’t slide out completely, making it difficult to access about 5.5” of space. I’d like to extend the slides, but haven’t found any resources on how to do so (if possible).

After removing the drawers, I’m pretty sure I’d have to replace the slides, but I can’t tell.

Can I extend the existing slides? How? Or do I need different ones?

Thanks, y’all!

r/cabinetry on Reddit: Full extension drawer slides?
December 7, 2024 -

Hi, I'm a novice carpenter and I've made a drawer that pulls out from a cabinet space. Works nice but because it holds a turntable it needs to be completely accessible from above, which means slides must fully extend. Wondering if there is such a thing. Right now my turntable drawer sticks out from the face of the cabinet about three inches. This, I've found, is because of the overlap in the slides that is necessary to their design. Hmmm. Didn't think about that. There's got to be a better way. Thanks!

April 18, 2024 - I'm not quite understanding, but if you have drawers with overlay fronts where one corner is not touching the faceframe when closed, one solution may be to mount the drawer slides slightly deeper into the cabinet. Click to expand... these are shop cabinets. As far as quality goes, I don't care too much. I thought it would be nice just to have a front to cover the slides/ Slides are Richelieu for extension.
