Everything I send to my friends cross-platform is now adding "null" beneath the post. If I want to send a Reddit link, sending it from Reddit itself will yield the null however, copy/pasting the link from Reddit and sending it directly through Instagram does not. Likewise, if I want to send a TikTok video directly through TikTok, it will yield the null but does not when I download the video to my phone and go directly into Instagram to send it there. Any ideas why this might be happening and how I can get rid of the "null" every time I want to send something from my friends directly from one app to another (rather than the workaround)? My app is fully updated to the latest version.

I have the same issue, I feel like Instagram is getting more and more bugged overtime. Sometimes when I share photos they are transparents to me but they look normal to others. I remember a year ago when we shared some links they were sent twice and it lasted for months (if we closed the app and opened it again it would be back to normal) And now it doesn't matter which platform I use to share content, the link is sent with another "null" message. My app is up to date and I have Android 14. Maybe they fired all devs in the team or never test anything before the release, idk

so i dm someone and when i delete my messages, they get a notification saying "message is no longer available because it was unsent by the sender." is there any way i can turn off these notifications so that they don't receive them? i don't receive these notifications when other people delete dms and i'm wondering why.

Are you speaking about Instagram or iMessages? A bit confused. If you mean iMessage, no you cannot change that.

I tried 3 times and now I have to wait for another 24 hrs for a code.

Did you violate terms or use a third party app? This happened to me but I never got any text saying "null" just never received a text

been getting a lot of hateful comments the last few days, and some of them - by the time i go through the comment section and see them - don’t show an actual user, but just say ‘null’.

does this mean they were a p*ssy and blocked me before i could react, or does it mean instagram suspended their account?

Also I’ve searched this subreddit and looked online for solutions! Nothing is working!

Is this a bug? It’s really annoying because it has the red notification. I’m not turning off my notifications.

Same!!! I can't get rid of this notification either. I've tried turning the notification on and then off again, restarting the phone, etc, and it still comes up!!! Does this mean that Instagram won't allow you to remove it unless you have notifications turned on? How annoying!

Is there a way to unsend a message that i deleted from my DMs Unfortunately, there's no way to Unsend a message you have already deleted. You must Unsend it before you delete it. If you deleted the message without using Unsend, the recipient still keeps their copy.
