So basically my problem is exactly the same as the one in this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/7dpotg/my_sony_bravia_android_tv_guide_has_corrupted/ ) but doing a rescan of the channels isn't doing me any favors like it did for op in that thread. Any other hot tips before I do a factory reset which I rather not do quite yet?
e: for what it's worth i tried to reset and empty the cache of the guide app and all this started after a sony software update

Tried to setup the ir blaster with my tv box (bell fibetv). Was able to get the ir working to control the channels, and my provider was on the list. But, once I entered my postal code(or any local one) it would just spit out "unknown error please try later". Is the feature not supported anymore?
