How do I restore my photos from Google photos I have lost my phone
I have lost my phone and I want all the images and video clips music back I have back up in Google photos More on forums.tomsguide.com
Pls help! Deleted backed up pics and vids on google photos, then everything also got deleted on my phone gallery. Any way I can restore those 2 years worth of memories and things?
If I understood, you had 2 yrs of photos on the device and all were backed up to accnt A. Then you switched the gp app to log into new accnt B. It started to sync what was on the device to B. You thought it wasn't working right and used the gp app to delete what was on B. Then you emptied the trash. That act deleted what was on the device and what had been synched to B. But, if you didn't switch the gp app settings back to accnt A, all the photos should still be there (check by logging into accnt A on photos.google.com). More on reddit.com

r/googlephotos on Reddit: How do I restore an old backup?
April 20, 2024 -
I broke my phone screen a while ago, so until I got a new one, I have been using my mom's old phone. To access my photos, I logged in to my google photos account, expecting it to load my photos. However, when I checked google photos, I found only my most recent photos (from the past few days), and all of my mom's photos. I don't know why it did this, but now that a have a new phone, I logged in to my account, and saw the same problem. Only my recent photos were in there, along with my mom's photos. I want to restore an old backup of my google photos to get the rest of my photos back, but I can't find it in settings, and every search tells me how to restore only one photo instead of the whole backup. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Photos is more of a sync than a back up in that it has no history or previous backups. When logging into Photos you will see thumbnails of all backed up items. You can double check this on https://photos.google.com . If they aren’t there you’ll need to retrieve them from your old phone. Also check you weren’t backing up to a different account.
