I am doing quote sheet chart, and the fright rate is either based on gross wt or cbm depending on which one is lesser value. I have formula to calculate each value but want to round down the number to get rid of the decimal. But when I tried to round off the formula directly, it gives me a completely different #. I have to create a sep column n round down the calculated number. Is there a way to round up/ down a formula directly?
I'm trying to create a sheet to help find the number of tips per person, and we round down by 5s. So 14.5 will become 14, and 14.6 will become 15. I'm unsure how to create a formula that will let me do it. With my workbook, I have to send it to my manager so they can open it up on a computer for it to be used. I've tried a few formulas that Google showed me like ROUNDUP, and ROUNDDOWN, I even tried creating my own IF functions but I don't think I'm doing it right.
I know Excel basics, but if there's a complicated equation I would really appreciate a step-by-step on how to use it along with an explanation of what everything does so I can learn. Thank you!
