how to edit and save excel spreadsheet on mac
I copied an Excel file to my Mac. I am able to open it in Numbers. I can change data in cells. I try to save the file and it SEEMS to be successful, but when I re-open the spreadsheet, the old data is still there - nothing was changed. More on discussions.apple.com

I cannot save my Excel files on my MacBook.
Do you have OneDrive? Are you signed in to OneDrive with the same account as Excel? A recent update to office (at least on my Mac) only allows it to Auto-Save to OneDrive. I have a full TB of OneDrive through my work so it isn't something I have investigated further. But I did notice the change. More on reddit.com

r/mac on Reddit: I cannot save my Excel files on my MacBook.
November 15, 2023 -

I don't know if it's my laptops fault, or the apps fault, but I can't save my files. I have Office 365, and I have the Excel app installed. I could save my files just like a couple weeks ago, but now when I want to autosave files, there's buffering with a text "Loading services", and it can load like that for hours, or when I just want to save a file, I can't choose to which folder I want it saved, meaning I just can't save it. I have the version 16.78.3 of the app, and my laptop is an M1 MacBook Air. How can I fix it or what can I do? Any advice or help would be appreciated!
