May 18, 2023 -
Ive been trying to set up my google assistant to read out my notifications in my new headphones but when it takes me to settings theres no option to give it access to them. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem before or knows how to fix it.

Same issue here and this was the solution for me: From the home screen, swipe up to activate Google Assistant and say, "Read me my notifications." This brought up an option to allow the Google app notification access. After allowed, I went back into the headphones settings and could enable Google Assistant for them then.

As of September of 24 they removed that feature so now you have to say "read messages" or "read notifications"

r/GooglePixel on Reddit: Is there a way I can check my notifications after I dismissed them?
October 4, 2021 -
Sometimes I check my phone in the morning and I see a ton of notifications. I quickly dismiss all of them but I start to wonder if I got an important notification and wished I could un-dismiss them. Is there a way I can check my previous notifications?

Yes. There is this notification history feature in your settings. You can turn it on and anytime you accidentally delete a notification, you can go back and take a look. You can just search notification history on the settings app to find it :)

How to See Your Notification History in Android
August 31, 2023 - Now you might see "Notification History" right here, or you may need to go to "Advanced Settings" first. Once you're there, simply toggle on the switch to use Notification History. The log will be blank at first, but it will start storing notifications after you enable the feature. Once notifications appear in the log, tapping them will take you to the associated app, just like a regular notification. If you have a Google Pixel phone, you can also access the Notification History by expanding the notification shade and tapping the "History" button at the bottom.
