Your parents do make the decisions for what you can and can’t have, so maybe if you ask them if you can play Roblox they can enable purchases temporarily. January 6, 2024 - If you have access to Safari, if you visit the website of a specific app, sometimes a pop up will show at the top of safari that says “update” and it will allow you to update that app. Roblox is an example of a website and app that do that easily. I don’t know another way other than that.

Technically, this is not allowed legally, due to the guidelines that both Apple and Android try to follow:
Apps should be self-contained in their bundles, and may not read or write data outside the designated container area, nor may they download, install, or execute code which introduces or changes features or functionality of the app, including other apps.
I found this quote from Apple’s App Development Guidelines, and Google has near-identical guidelines.

I don’t believe so - however, there are some videos online claiming you can play without updating (I won’t link any here because I don’t quite trust them). I suppose you could download it off of Google Play and technically wouldn’t have to update it via the Apple App Store, but I don’t know if this would help in your scenario.

There’s one and only one way I found… As long as you already have the out of date app downloaded, you can try either going to their respective website or (if you’re lucky) find an ad in an app such as YouTube or Snapchat in which you will see the prompt to update instead of to open. On the websites, if they have the prompt to open or update the app, it will appear as a banner on the top of the screen
