[ROOT] Downgrade stock YouTube app after Android 14/15 Update 19.17.42 -> 19.16.39

I was thinking: while in Revanced Manager, I always toggle on the "Custom branding". As a result, both the icon and name change (as expected); and, as a byproduct, the APK created is com.youtube.revanced (instead of the regular com.youtube); which implies it is a different package. Considering this, there shouldn't be any confict with any preexisting com.youtube installs, or am I mistaken? More on reddit.com

Having trouble with the Youtube app on Android. While I can watch YouTube videos just fine through my browser. The app doesn't load videos and just freezes. Any suggestions?

Try this .... Device Settings > Apps > YouTube App. Force Stop > Clear Cache > Delete Data > Run any memory cleaning Apps you have > Power Down Device, wait a couple of minutes for residual memory to clear then Power back up. Should that fail .... Device Settings > Apps > YouTube > top right corner > three vertical dots > Uninstall Last Update > Restart your Device and let Playstore update the YouTube App, or manually check for an update through Playstore. Ever since I updated my Android (Samsung) I can't access the Youtube app unless I clear Cache and data before. It won't let me enter the app before updating the Youtube app, but I CANNOT UPDATE IT.

Situation after clicking on the app:

"Update your app!"

Reshuffled to Google Play

"Something went wrong"

I've tried updating youtube directly thought the Google play app to no avail. I've since updated my phone once with no improvement, and restarted the phone countless times. I've contacted both Google Play and Youtube Support, receiving only mindless autogenerated responses from Google Play, and no response from Youtube support.

I know I sound stupid, but I can't get anything to work, and I can't uninstall the apps just for the sake of it. Anybody know anything about this? (Also, no, I don't have an old phone model.) Anybody else with similar issues?

(My English is not up to par with tech lingo, and I'm sorry)
