It doesn’t show me my full card number. It only shows the last 4 digits. Nor does it show an expiration date or a CVV number.
I have a good credit card that gives me 4.5X on my apple pay, and I want to use it to pay for my app store purchases. However, I don't see a way to set app store to use apple pay. I saw the apple cash payment option and it is unclear which card it will charge if I load money into apple cash…
TL;DR: How do you arm/prepare a card for payment from within the Wallet app? (i.e., NOT using the double-tap lock button method)
Details: This is probably a silly question but after 15 min of googling every guide just tells you to double tap the lock button.
Today I was trying to make a contactless payment and the double-tap was not working for some reason. I tried opening the wallet app manually but couldn't get the card to work.
When you use the double-tap it does a face id and then a "hold near reader" prompt appears, indicating that the card is armed and ready to communicate with the POS machine. However, when you open the wallet app it shows the card but there's no indication that it's ready for payment and nothing happened when I held it near the POS. I tried tapping the card but this only seemed to show the "latest transactions" list and again holding it near the POS did nothing.
