September 27, 2016 - I ran out of USB headers (I needed one for my front USB 2.0 ports and one for my Bluetooth) Out of desperation, I took two regular USB cables that I had laying around the house, connected them, one to each unit, and neatly routed them out of the case to my two free USB ports on the back of the computer and everything works fine with the Corsair Link software.

July 2, 2025 - It all boils down to one connector: a wide, flat unit that's proprietary to Corsair's system. The fans also operate using the same connector, which means everything from liquid coolers to fans can be hooked up with the same basic cables. There are a few options for cables: long ones (650 mm), short ones (200 mm), those with two right-angled connectors, and those with just one. You won't be short of cables in my experience, as a pack of three iCUE Link LX120 RGB fans comes with two cables, one long and one short, and an iCUE Link Hub.

Anyway, I'm running an H115i Pro and I use Corsair's iCUE software. It's the replacement for Link with more capabilities including RGB fan control. Point? Download iCUE Edit: Are you also saying there's an issue the cable? Because you need that connection to be able to communicate with the software - Link or iCUE.
