Much rather use Google Pay than Samsung Pay. Is there a quick and easy way to use Google Pay? I know I can just place the phone near the NFC terminal when I need to pay, but it uses my default card and there are times, depending on where I am, I need to use a different card. So how do I pay with Google pay now?
With Google pay you just leave NFC on and the phone unlocked and you can pay when you tap but it now requires you to unlock with a pin or biometric FPS. Samsung pay once set up you can choose to swipe up from the bottom of the screen which directs you to the S Pay app, even if the phone is off or at the lock screen. More on reddit.com

Why Google Pay for contactless payments?
You’re really overthinking this, there is a reason why Apple and Google both do it this way. The bank app is only used to add your card to Google wallet, it has nothing to do with actually making the payments and it’s not using wallet as a middle man. You add your card to Google wallet, then you use that to make your contactless or in app purchases. More on reddit.com

How handy is the Google Pay service?
You don't have to double tap for Google pay. You just have to have the phone unlocked and then move it towards the NFC reader. It's way more convenient. More on reddit.com

How to use Google pay?
That's correct. Look for wallet not gpay. Gpay is a place to configure cards and make it usable online but it's not usable for paying at the store. Use the wallet. And if you are beta testing one ui5 / Android 13, there's a good chance that one or more of your banks will say that your phone does not have the proper security and it won't work and you have to use Samsung pay. That's what I've been going through lately.
