Yeah, no Opus 4.5 for Pro users in Claude Code. Also, no changes in limits. I'm disapointed. Answer from Vantir on reddit.com

1 month ago - Switch models thoughtfully — Because Opus is powerful but more expensive, switch only when you need its reasoning strengths. Use planning mode in Claude Code — Have the agent plan out multi-step tasks before executing.

Claude Opus 4.5, our frontier coding model, is now available in Claude Code for Pro users. Pro users can select Opus 4.5 using the /model command in their terminal.

Opus 4.5 will consume rate limits faster than Sonnet 4.5. We recommend using Opus for your most complex tasks and using Sonnet for simpler tasks.

To get started:

* Run claude update
* /model opus

These days, everybody's talking about the Opus 4.5 feature which apparently has become "cheaper"(?)

Does that mean I can have a regular Pro Subscription (20 $) and use Opus 4.5 inside ClaudeCode cheaply? (meaning it's not more expensive than Sonnet)

Thanks!

6 days ago - Yesterday I was really shocked when I hit the usage limit in a single session in Claude Code using Sonnet 4.5 (medium). I'm convinced that the Pro plan is basically a joke — Anthropic is clearly pushing users to pay more. I’ve replaced it with Gemini Pro and I’m curious to see how it will handle my workload. For now, Codex and Gemini are my main tools. Claude Code is simply too expensive for me. ... I cancelled, 4 opus requests are enough to hit the 5h limit.
