I've been struggling to get the Packager to work. I got it to package up a Large Platform B by moving it around the periphery until it seemed that I hit some sort of "hot spot" and the button turned green. The Packager then fixed in location and I could press F to package.
I cannot get it to work on anything else. Is there some trick that I'm missing, or is it just not working properly? Is there only certain things it works with?
BTW, for anyone who is curious: When I packaged the Large Platform B, it had something on it (Soil Centrifuge), and it simply popped off. I assume the same thing would happen to all slots on anything you package up.

Take things off the platform then place the packager over them and it should float above them. then just package it

you place it on the thing you want to package (Not on a storage slot, It'll light up green on top if it can package what you've placed it on) and then activate it. You just put it somewhere on the thing you want to package.

Almost every medium sized item or larger can be repackaged. So you'll place the packager on the item and press F (or your activate button) to re-package the item. So it goes into a box, just like if it was printed and never opened. Fun fact, also works on the medium research samples and debris too if you want to transport more at once. Packager is a one use item, so once you open the item again, you'll need a new packager to wrap it up again :)

Place the item you want to package up away from anything else, drag the packager to the item if its a platform move the packager to the front cable outlet works best, if its not a platform move it to the front of the item. The packager should turn 90 degrees towards you and a green button will appear on it, you then press f to use the item. Note it is a consumable.

When you make it, you place it over the object. It will kind of snap to a hover. Can be any angle. After a while you will get use to when it snaps. Once it is hovering it will tell you to hold “F” to package the item.
