I don't know if this is common knowledge or the way to get access or if I stumbled on it.

Tiktok has 1+ billion views per day, not uploads. And about $60M revenue per day. OAI's core idea with Sora 2 was that people will view a lot of AI generated videos per generation - so much so that they talk about nudging people to create more. Under that model it would either be immediately profitable on a gross basis or become so pretty soon as generation costs drop. Clearly that's not how people are actually using the service. Which makes sense, the app sucks! Who thought loading ~5MB clips in their entirety on the scroll was a good idea? It's so slow and clunky.To have even a chance of success it needs to be fast loading, smooth, and have a stellar recommendation algorithm. None of that is there yet. The more fundamental problem is AI content creation tends to be incredibly niche. Precisely because it is so easy people can make whatever idiosyncratic idea floats their boat without having to consider whether it's worth the effort. Or to put it another way: at zero production cost and zero effort the natural audience size is one.
