There is a setting on most Samsungs to automatically go to Samsung Home. Disable it and it should show whatever your last device was.

My Sony TV does this too. I wish you could buy a TV with nothing in it other than a tuner. There’s nothing smart about a smart tv in my opinion.

yeah, an 'Apple TV+' app is only going to have access to Apple TV+ content, not other subscription channels or purchased movies/tv shows that you could access through an 'Apple TV' app. it shouldn't take much effort on apple's part to deliver a better and full experience to their customers on other platforms, but they don't seem to want to do that. even the platforms with full 'Apple TV' apps, like my Roku or Xbox, routinely have bugs that make content inaccessible without annoying amounts of troubleshooting
