Looking for a new (warranty available), fairly compact-ish, at home office printer with a preference toward affordable and color-capable laser printer.
Use cases primarily: official documentation, frequent printing labels (on cheap/standard paper), color reference images for design purposes (needs decent resolution) and standard b/w long-form text documents. Limited use (generally ~10 pages daily and occasional "big" print jobs of 50+ pages) with color use even less frequent.
Seems like the HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw and Canon Color Image CLASS LBP622Cdw have come up in a few online publication reviews (via WireCutter/PC Mag/etc) as a solid ~$300 option. Anyone have a strong opinion on either for functional sustainability, toner frequency/costs or brand's warranties. Or other questions I should consider?
Or, if there is a third option that blows those out of the water...I'd welcome insights?
BONUS: If anyone knows a current coupon/sale that would make one more price competitive above the other, that would be awesome too!
