CoolSense software detects whether or not you're moving your laptop around and adjusts the cooling fans accordingly. With my old HP laptop I disabled it, it was rather annoying for me. This might help. More on reddit.com

From a quick look its just a fan monitoring and adjustment software developed by hp. It supposedly tracks motion to balance the temps and fan speed in different scenarios but whether or not its accurate I don't know. And tbh I don't understand the point, components get hot - fan speed increases simple It won't make your laptop any cooler but won't hurt unless it's also another app to track marketing data. July 27, 2019I just got a new HP Laptop and was wondering what bloatware I can safely remove without damaging the system?
You should be able to safely remove everything there but the wireless button driver (and you can safely remove that but the button to switch your wifi off won't work). Keep Bonjour if you have an iPhone, use iTunes or plan on interacting with any Apple devices on your PC. The HP audio switch should be safe to remove, but you may need to open device manager and use that to install your audio control software if there aren't other ones installed (e.g. Realtek). If you're uncomfortable with that, just keep it. HP 3D Driveguard uses the accelerometer to detect if you've dropped your PC and park the drive heads so it doesn't damage them. Might be worth keeping unless your laptop has all SSDs in them (no moving parts so no point to that). Maybe keep the documentation. You never know. More on reddit.com

May 26, 2019 - Same here on Windows 10 Home x64 and CoolSense 2.0 (I was not able to download newer version). Cannot uninstall current version either. Fan however doesn't spin up excessively and the system has the performance it should have even under load.

It's on my laptop, but I have no idea whether as to it works or not. I am just trying to delete all bloatware on my HP laptop, but really unsure about this coolsense one and would like to ask if anyone knows anything about and, if they would reccommened installing it.
P.S. I play games on my laptop, and the bottom of the laptop/ fan outlet area heats up when playing, if that means anything.

EDIT: Ok, so I turned it off and it was significantly better. Whenever I played a game previously, the fan was running at a high speed and very hot, it now runs quietly and less heat with the HP CoolSense turned off (which the irony is, CoolSense did not cool my lap top at all).

CoolSense software detects whether or not you're moving your laptop around and adjusts the cooling fans accordingly. With my old HP laptop I disabled it, it was rather annoying for me. This might help.

I used to work tech suppprt for Costco and the majority of our calls were for HP laptops and the majority of those calls were for overheating. Coolsense might help but if you ever notice its not running or it's running poorly you'll need to update the BIOS. If that doesn't work and you're out of warranty you're going to be pretty much SOL
