June 15, 2022 - I typically dont recommend HP Pavillion for QC reasons against HP, but you would need a specific use for the extra 2 cores of the ryzen 5700u to make the price difference worth it. If you are asking, you probably dont need it. The single thread performance is not that different (~5%?) Hello! I am not very tech savvy and am wondering why I am unable to run most games. Everywhere I see the Ryzen 5700U can run most games around 30-60 fps mark but im struggling to even make it to 10 fps on most games. It has 8 Gb of ram and (I think?) 512 Mb of vram. I also have the latest update of the AMD Adrenaline driver software. Is there something i'm missing? I just need an explanation, I'm very confused on all this stuff.

8gb of ram, that right there is ur problem, go for dual channel 16gb ram, try more storage cuz u gonna need it. There's this thing with ryzen that it works like crap with single channel ddr4 ram, to some extent even intel does

I'm pretty sure upgrading to 16gb is a good idea cuz u WILL need that very soon, another fix could be you haven't set ur laptop in performance mode, it does significantly boost performance, also try not playing on a bed and connect it to the charger while doing so

Hi Guys,
I am looking to buy a new laptop and I have narrowed down the brand to Dell (Since I have nice previous experiences) and HP (the popular one), but I am confused about going for Intel i5 processor or AMD Ryzen 7 one, I have seen internet talk about how Ryzen 7 is kind of equivalent to i7, should I go with AMD processor? Does anyone here own AMD processor laptop?
The HP Ryzen 7 processors are way more costlier than the Dell one, hence the Intel processor for HP.
I want a laptop which would run smoothly for my programming needs (think visual studio,git ), my past experience has been in a year or two the laptop starts hanging a lot so I want to go for a reliable one.
For cost purpose, I am from India and my budget is Rs70,000.
