HP Pavilion 15 Intel i7 16GB - Do Not Buy
Replacing HP Pavilion Laptop 15 Hard Drive. What are my options?
Has anyone here have any bad experiences with the HP Pavilion 15 cs0064st?
HP laptops tend to have issues. I have had 4 HP laptops, I had to open each and everyone of them to fix them at some point.
I keep buying them because they are cheap and I like getting my hands dirty. :)
If you don't like fixing your own things it could be a good idea to return it or get an extended warranty.

I bought this laptop yesterday and I am pretty pissed off at just how poor its battery is.

I lost 25% an hour last night using it, only browsing Edge.
I left it last night around midnight at 85%. I turned it on today at 2pm and it was at 66%.
I've again been browsing in edge for 1 hour and 45 minutes, and I'm now on 15%.
That's lost 50% in just under 2 hours!
God forbid I used an application like a Microsoft app, or Photoshop, or Spotify....
How do people accept this, it's advertised to get 7hrs and 45 mins... doing what, sitting on the desktop on 10% brightness?!?!
What a joke, returning this later this evening.
UPDATE: Went back to John Lewis and exchanged for the HP Envy x360 15.6" i7 16GB Touchscreen. Oh my fucking god, the difference is mad. The screen is unbelievably amazing, having to turn brightness down to 50-60%, the battery life is 15hrs, double that of the Pavillion, and it has a backlit keyboard, and it has a SD card reader. For an extra £150, fucking win. This thing is a beast and its beautiful!!
Update years later: bought a MacBook Pro M4 for £1800ish. Powerhouse. Never going back to windows. This machine wins on everything. For the extra bit of cash it’s saved so many constant annoyances and is just unbelievably impressive.
