This Docume · However, it's not clear that's going to help; it depends on how much memory you have in it now. According to the specifications, there's 2GB built into the motherboard and the DIMM slot supports a maximum of another 4GB. So if you have 6GB already, that says you're maxed out. If your DIMM slot is empty then you can triple the amount of RAM in the system. · Memory · On-board system memory · DDR3L-1600MHz single channel support · Supports up to 2 GB maximum on-board system memory · One SODIMM slot-non-accessible/non-upgradeable · Supports up to 4 GB maximum system memory · It might be worth your while to check through the user manual for any clue as to whether it will support more than 4GB; here's the support page where you can download all of the relevant documentation. · HP Stream - 14-ax020nr - Setup and User Guides - HP Support · Hope that helps. I remembered one time when I was looking to upgrade a MacBook that was very limited on the amount of RAM officially supported. When I went to a RAM supplier's website and used their locator, it turned out that although it was not officially supported, my laptop could indeed take about twice as much memory as Apple said it could. · So a similar thing happened on yours; I put in your model number to a search engine and guess what - it came up with a listing specifically for your model number selling a RAM stick that's twice the size HP says it takes! · A-Tech 8GB Module for HP Stream 14-ax020nr Compatible DDR3/DDR3L 1600MHz PC3-12800 Non-ECC SODIMM 1.35V - Single Laptop & Notebook Memory RAM Stick (ATMS397707A12351X1) at Amazon.com · You can either buy that one right there or use those specifications to search for more options, but you can at least be fairly confident the slot will take at least 8 GB, for a total of 10 GB in the system.
