This is getting ridiculous. I can download and install the HP Support Assistant from https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html . It clearly says on the site that this is version 9.6.598.0 / 8.8.24.33. I can install it on 5 exact same model PCs. On 3 of them, it will install version 9 and on 2 of them it will install version 8. How the heck to you get version 9 to install ever time?

I did try the above link several times with the same result. I just installed a new 1TB hard drive, and a new installation of Windows 8.1 Pro, and downloaded all the current important and suggested updates. It seems to have part of the old file somewhere that I can't delete. Thanks for the reply!
