Is there any way to extend victus through official means? It's a bit confusing as when we try to contact HP we get mail from arm infoserve. Are they legit? They've quoted ₹9000 for 2 years, which I feel is too much. Also there are spelling mistakes in the mail so it's really hard to believe the authenticity.
Can someone please guide how to extend the warranty officially? Also to give some additional information, our current warranty has expired. Thank you for the help!
Hi! So for context, this is the first HP laptop I've ever had. It's a nice OMEN by HP 15-dc1030nr. It was given as a graduation gift last year, but it was evidently purchased off of a site in the USA (I am in Canada). The warranty expired a while back and I put off extending it.
Recently, however, and by recently I mean just this morning, the left fan has been making this buzzing noise and a few friends think this is probably due to dust buildup. While I have been reassured that I could just crack her open myself and give her a nice dusting with some compressed air, I just wanted to get the warranty extended in case something major happens to the laptop so that I don't have to replace it during COVID.
I went to the HP Support Assistant which recommended buying an extended 1 year care pack (with a 50% discount no less!), but the disclaimer noted that "HP Care Pack purchase and/or service may not be applicable to the HP product if it has been moved from country of origin."
I can't even contact them to ask how all of this would work because their support system is so weird and vague and a lot of options are only available if you have a warranty. What am I supposed to do?

If this is for business use, speak to your HP rep, if this is for personal, unless you are prone to accidents, I’d probably just look after it. Batteries and storage are consumables anyway so wouldn’t be covered in the warranty.

I purchased my laptop in January 2024 from an HP Supplier with a 1-year warranty.
The supplier assured me that I would be able to extend the warranty year by year.
I confirmed this with HP, and they also stated that the warranty could be extended, but only within 1 month before the expiration date.
At the beginning of December, I attempted to extend the warranty, and HP again confirmed the same condition.
However, now that the warranty expiration is less than 1 month away, HP Support has informed me otherwise, providing conflicting information.

"There are no additional extended warranties for your laptop that well sell, and which are compatible with your laptop.
We cannot provide any additional extended coverage for your laptop."
