Hi everyone, I recently updated my Windows 11, and it has caused several issues with my computer. Here are the problems I'm facing:
1- Touchscreen Stopped Working: After the update, my touchscreen functionality has completely stopped working. Device managers under Human Interface doesn't even display a HIF-Compliant Touch screen driver.
2- Suspend Mode Not Functioning: The suspend mode no longer works. I have to manually turn off and restart my computer, which is very inconvenient.
3- Sound Driver Affected: The sound driver was also affected, but I managed to fix it by reinstalling the drivers.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues after the latest Windows 11 update? If so, were you able to find a solution? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I have followed all the steps I found online, but nothing has worked so far...
Frankly, it's disappointing to see such significant issues arising from a Windows update. I wish I had known about all the problems this new update would cause; that way, I never would have installed it.
Hi Christina,
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Most people do have to switch out of S Mode, because it is too limiting and switching out of S mode will not slow your laptop down, that is an Internet myth.
There is absolutely no problem taking Windows out of S Mode, and converting it to Widows 11 Home, the only difference with S Mode is it limits you to installing software from the Microsoft Store and when yo switch to Home, only install software from Official suppliers.
Windows contains a full security suite that is on a par with all the major paid-for anti-virus software so your service is fully protected, and Windows security will not slow your system down.
Thank you for your quick reply Dave. You answered majority of my questions. I just wanted to know since defenders is antivirus for windows does that mean I don’t have to use a third-party reputable antivirus company? Or can I download it since I already hav it. In all honesty what is the point of if everyone’s switching out of it? The laptop I bought is a HP i7 intel processor 16GB of ram and 512gb of internal storage with this last me a long time for what i need it for ? Zooms writing papers working movies downloading PDF documents search the web etc. I’ve been using a tablet for the last four or five years. I was torn between hp and Lenovo 650 is alot better than orginal price of 800 computers I found or $999 and up I was chosen to know about it is better than HP because HP battery life is only like eight hours compared to 10 to 15 hours and you know when when the Windows 12 is coming out how much I have to pay to upgrade,
Thank you Christina Caruso
