That's a super tight weight limit, especially for Photoshop and Premiere Pro! Finding a full-fledged laptop under 1.5 pounds (686g) that can handle video editing well is almost impossible. Most devices in that weight class are tablets or very small 2-in-1s. Your best bet at that weight is likely the Microsoft Surface Pro 12 (or the very latest Surface Pro model). It does hit the 686g mark without the keyboard. For your family's Browse, movies, and Office tasks, it'll be excellent due to its portability and touchscreen. For your Adobe use: Photoshop: Newer Surface Pros with Snapdragon X Elite/Plus chips (especially with 16GB or 32GB RAM) can handle Photoshop reasonably well, particularly for photo editing. Adobe has been improving ARM compatibility. Premiere Pro: This will be the biggest challenge. While it might run, complex projects, 4K footage, or heavy effects will likely push it to its limits. You won't get the smooth experience of a laptop with a dedicated graphics card. If you can stretch the weight limit slightly (e.g., to 2-2.5 lbs), options like the LG Gram series or some lightweight Lenovo/HP ultrabooks will give you significantly more power for Premiere Pro while still being very portable.
