Hi everyone, I recently updated my Windows 11, and it has caused several issues with my computer. Here are the problems I'm facing:
1- Touchscreen Stopped Working: After the update, my touchscreen functionality has completely stopped working. Device managers under Human Interface doesn't even display a HIF-Compliant Touch screen driver.
2- Suspend Mode Not Functioning: The suspend mode no longer works. I have to manually turn off and restart my computer, which is very inconvenient.
3- Sound Driver Affected: The sound driver was also affected, but I managed to fix it by reinstalling the drivers.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues after the latest Windows 11 update? If so, were you able to find a solution? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I have followed all the steps I found online, but nothing has worked so far...
Frankly, it's disappointing to see such significant issues arising from a Windows update. I wish I had known about all the problems this new update would cause; that way, I never would have installed it.
Hello, about a month ago I updated my HP Pavillion 15-eh0xxx to windows 11 and since then the touchscreen stopped working. I am not sure what the issue is, though I'm wondering if it could be an issue with BIOS compatibility.
I'll try to be active so I can answer any questions. I'm relatively tech-literate, so hopefully it won't be too bad, haha!
Hi Luke,
This is Tamal trying to help you with the issue.
Depending on age and usage of the device it could be hardware issue as well. Part of the hardware that is connected to the motherboard working & human interfacing side is broken. If it's registering touch in hp software then hardware is fine and driver is broken. You can try uninstall the driver from device manager by right clicking on the start. In device manager if you can't see the touch screen under human interfere device then please go to view then turn on show hidden devices option. Now uninstall the driver by expanding and right clicking on it. Then go for a restart.
If the device shows its presence but doesn't register a touch then you should connect hp support for warranty assistance if the device is under warranty.
Hi Tamal,
I already have tried contacting hop but I have had no reply. It does appear under HID and I have uninstalled it and restarted my laptop multiple times. . Also the warranty has finished a while ago and the device is running as smooth as ever before. It’s just an annoyance as I cant use my pen etc. Is there any other ways it could be fixed? Thanks
