HTML Form Templates [50+ Best Examples]
March 13, 2025 - In an instant, I had access to clean, pre-designed forms that I could easily tweak to fit my website’s style and needs. If you’ve ever struggled to build forms from scratch or simply want to save time, I’ve got you covered. In this article, I’ve compiled tons of free HTML form templates that cover all the bases: login forms, contact forms, payment forms, and more. All of my examples below are open source and from CodePen users.
How would I go about creating a HTML form that runs locally (or on a shared Google drive) that saves the inputs to a JSON file?
This would be fairly easy, and could be done in a single file. For example: Field 1
Field 2
Field 3
Save This will give you a form with three fields, when you click save a file with a unique name will be downloaded containing the data as json. Edit: If you wanted to run with this idea, it would be easy to make it look less awful, and add the ability to specify the filename etc. More on reddit.com

Using forms in html pages, what's the best/cheapest option?
All forms can do is send an HTTP request (typically a POST request) to some endpoint with the form data as a payload. At the end of the day, you need some endpoint that receives that request and sends you the content in an email. Your options are: Build a server application yourself to handle that request and do something with it (like send it to your email) Subscribe to a service like Web3Forms to receive the request and send it your email for you More on reddit.com
JS and HTML forms
Tedious is fine. That means you are handling the details. You can make use of insertAdjacentHTML() and insertAdjacentElement() if your study requirement is to use DOM methods to append elements. Use FormData to process the form. Just make sure you include the name attribute in and elements. More on reddit.com
Making a Functional HTML Contact Form
There's a lot of ways to approach this. First of all, is email definitely what you want? It might be, but consider other options too. You could send a message to Slack, or Discord, or Facebook, or some other service that overs an API or webhook. To send email, there are two choices that come to me. Use an email service provider such as Mailchimp , Mailjet or SendGrid , etc Do it yourself using SMTP You will probably want a back-end. And some sort of captcha . If you just want to get started, grab a node or PHP back-end and look at tutorials for a library like PHPMailer or nodemailer or something. Any library you want. More on reddit.com
