Thinking of switching to Hulu+LiveTV from YouTubeTV after losing ESPN/ABC. Who’s done this and how are you faring? Who’s decided against it and why? TIA!

Hello, as we get into football season I'm looking at getting either Hulu Live TV or YouTube TV.
My biggest deciding factor is overall best picture quality.
I've done some research and can't really find a concrete answer.

Just curious - what does Hulu give consumers that YouTube doesn’t given its higher price per month? I see a subscriptions for Hulu is going up to $90.00 / month.
Tell me your pros and cons about YouTube Tv and Hulu Live Tv
I was curious if anyone has any experience with both of these services. Currently have Hulu live mainly for football season and some on demand programs. I was wondering how Youtube TV compared as it does appear to be a bit cheaper.
There have been a lot of comments recently about how "YouTube TV's bitrate is too low" and that this is the reason for all of the issues people are having with the service. I have compared all of the providers multiple times over the past few years and this didn't match up at all with my experience so I decided to take a deeper look.

TLDR: During my 30 minute testing window Hulu Live TV did use 22.8% more bits to deliver the same video. However, YouTube TV is using a ~50% more efficient video codec. Picture quality was essentially the same.
For anyone who is seeing differently it would be great if you can share some images and data so maybe we can get a better idea of what is going on. It's hard to know if someone is annoyed because they are seeing a 240p blocky mess, or if they are annoyed because the football field is little blurry and lacking detail. Both valid complaints, but one is normal behavior and the other is the service not working correctly at all.
Maybe we can leave the "it's the bitrate" thing behind and start naming the local network affiliates, cable tv networks, ISPs, or whatever else is responsible for the low picture quality?
I'll start: The network affiliates in the Philadelphia market are providing a substandard service. For example, the NBC affiliate (WCAU) broadcast is sharing bandwidth with 4 SD channels and another HD channel. All of this bandwidth used to be used for one HD channel. The stream they are providing to streaming services and cable tv providers is just as bad as the OTA broadcast.
For those considering Hulu Live TV or YouTube TV, here is my two cents:
I choose Hulu Live TV. I am streaming with Apple TV (not 4K). Right now, I have a subscription to both. I noticed on a couple of shows I watched, Hulu had better quality (which I am guessing because Hulu had the network in 1080 and YouTube TV had 720). Hulu's on demand is VASTLY superior.
The strengh of YouTube TV is that you get the unlimited DVR and can fast forward through commercials from recordings (on most channels). For Hulu, you have to spend an additional $10 for their DVR with a lot of space and ability to fast forward through commercials from recordings. They also have AMC, and IFC, and I am hoping they get History Channel and A&E, soon.
Comparing both, Hulu was a better experience for me. You should give them both a try. No contracts, so spend a month on each. Some swear by YouTube TV, but for me, I'm choosing Hulu. Hulu has improved also in the delay time. When watching sports on both, Hulu was barely behind. They used to be almost 30 seconds behind.
Much love.
Hulu still have that convoluted GUI? No channel guide/grid, etc. It’s a turn off.
If the 50 hour DVR on Hulu had fast forward enabled, I would switch from YTTV in a heartbeat. I just don't like the all ($65) or nothing ($45) mentality Hulu has. They need to find some middle ground with their add ons. It shouldn't cost you another $10 just to be able to fast forward through a recording. That's just silly.
