Does the "Hot spot" apply to more things, like the Cpu for example?
The reason i want to track while gaming, is simply because i wanna know when my CP is working a lot vs not at all. I have a fairly new PC, so i don't have any specific issues atm.

I don't know if this is the right sub for this question because I'm not sure if its hardware-related but here it goes.
I suddenly noticed low fps in games a month ago, mostly Battlefield (any one) and Squad, which was resolved by restarting the computer each time.
I tried everything. Updating my drivers using DDU (safe mode), updating my BIOS, reseating my RAM and GPU, switching off fast startup, switching to high performance power plan, etc.
And, by accident, I've been getting better fps by having both ISLC and HWMonitor running in the background. Now, I understand how ISLC can help with memory leaks, but why is HWMonitor helping me with fps?
Here are my specs:
CPU: i7 10700k
Board: ROG STRIX B460-H Gaming
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 Ti
RAM: 32GB @ 2400MHz (Just one stick)
PSU: EVGA Supernova 850 G2
Drive: m.2 SSD for OS and some games, some other games are installed on a SATA SSD.
Any help would be appreciated.

In HWMonitor I am seeing a lot of items in the Performance section (Power, Temp, Reliable Voltage, Operational Voltage, etc.) all hitting "1".

I plan on tweaking my fan curves a bit, though it looks like my CPU and GPU temps are within reason based on searching through other posts. I am mostly concerned with hitting the limits and what that really means.
I would love someone more knowledgeable than me to take a glance at some of the numbers and let me know if I can do anything else to make things better/smoother.
Why does Hwmonitor exist when why does this app exist and still keeps getting updates and why ppl still make issue posts using it
HWinfo is better,accurate, more features, and is not limited in the free version
It is not accurate, and almost all posts with intel cpus show the cpu using like 20-21w and running like 90c, only for them to get a comment saying "Hwmonitor is not accurate, use Hwinfo", for them to find out they are pulling 90w at +100c
I remember back in the 1st gen Ryzen days HWMonitor used to be way off! How accurate is it nowadays! It always reports my 5950x hitting up to 80c while gaming with an Aorus AIO 360mm rad!
Hey all, I'm new to PC building and want to keep and eye on my recently built system so I downloaded HWMonitor. Tried doing my own research and it seems most people agree,
TMPIN0 = Motherboard
TMPIN1 = CPU
TMPIN2 = Northbridge
so, simple enough. Except I have 5 TMPIN readings and it skips TMPIN1 altogether!
In addition to that, I've seen some people say "Package (Node 0) is the +20c offset for Ryzen" , not exactly sure what that means, I would appreciate some insight/clarity into all this, sorry for being so uninformed.

i just upgraded to a ryzen 5 2600 and on hwmonitor im getting 98c on my cpu but in my bios its 35 and my ai suite 3 says 57c while im playing a game should i be worry or is hwmonitor lying

I recently finished my first ever build and it seems to be working well. However, I'm not very well versed in understanding a lot of the data yet. Can you have a look at these and tell me if this is good or do I need to potentially adjust something in my case. Or maybe there is some other data I need to collect additionally?

Any recommendations for a graphical hardware monitor? I used to use modbros because it had a simple way to display the specs you wanted - but that was many years ago and I can’t figure out the new version, and tbh the cost is a little ridiculous.
I have a small 5 inch screen that I have setup as my “monitor” for the system - so would like something I can continue to use that for. Libre is good but the gadget is pretty small without being able to resize to fill the mini screen.
HWMonitor is tell me that the temp of my CPU is at 97 degrees Celsius, or 206.6 degrees Fahrenheit. I really doubt that my CPU is running over 200 degrees and still in a solid form.
Edit: I have an APU, but the graphics part of it is only running at 45 degrees Celsius
That seems a bit high but i would think it would be possible if you have bad airflow or alot of dust in your system, im sure it could still operate at that temperature without instantly being destroyed, atleast for some period of time.
I use Realtemp for my CPU temps and GPU-Z for my GPU temps
It's as reliable as your sensors' ability to communicate temps correctly.
