honestly there really isn’t an alternative at this rate. any alternatives that might’ve exist kinda have botted player counts. also mineplex is basically a corpse, and cubecraft’s take on 1.9 pvp is so broken that you can hit people while their shield’s up. though if you can tolerate the shit, cubecraft eggwars isn’t too bad of an alternative(albeit on new combat) More on reddit.com

It is free to join and play any game on the Hypixel network. Ranks offer some good perks in Skyblock like being being able to play game updates early and fast traveling but nothing too game changing. Skyblock won’t appeal to you much if your looking for a fast paced game. Lots of the gameplay involves spending hours upon hours of grinding. But if your into those sort of games then you’ll find it very fun which I personally think it is. More on reddit.com

Also no need to buy VIP. Same thing with that. An last but not least. If you want to be able to buy the game you have to pay for it.

I’ve been having lots of fun with Hypixel, but their anticheat really sucks: it falsely bans / kicks legit players but many hackers can get away with it.
I still play casual games like TNT Games, Arcade Games, Murder Mystery, etc, but playing things like Bedwars properly is almost impossible. Does anyone know any alternative for competitive (non-casual) minigames? I enjoy things like Bedwars, where the point of the game isn’t just fighting each other to death (that’s why I don’t like PVP practice servers like Minemen or PVP Legacy) but instead you use different special mechanics, like resource management, bridging between floating islands, cool items like tnts and fireballs… in shorter words, I want a fully fledged minigame with its own twists, not 100% pure PVP.
I don’t mind if it’s 1.8 pvp or modern pvp.

Hey man, premium is just normal version of the game, you will have to wait a bit to connect to more populated servers or if mojang server fails you have to wait for them to get back up. People here think about premium as in VIP rank on Hypixel. Also enjoy ur "legit" version and skiny _^
