I'm looking to buy an new computer and the i7/i9 difference confuses me. I looked up the difference between the two but i just got a lot of in-depth stuff i don't understand. I have a pretty good sized budget, but if the i9 only really for over-clockers or people that play super strenuous games I'd rather just save the money.

I was scrolling on Newegg as I'm ready to buy my first PC and build it myself. As I was, I found out that the Intel Core i9 is on SUPER sale; down from $650 all the way to $287! My original build (which I used Newegg's PC builder in the app), had a Ryzen i7. I did some quick research and found out everything else is compatible, but my current motherboard and my PC case itself. I did some quick research too, which I found out is geared toward gaming. Which is the main reason why I bought such a system. But.. I'm doing more light research about how Ryzen is better with multitasking. Which I often do—I regularly have multiple tabs open along with my game; because I have 2 monitors. I usually have my browser, steam, discord, and my game on. But I also draw and edit videos sometimes. Did I mess up with this impulse buy?? I can cancel, but I want to hear advice from people with actual expierence and everything. My budget is around $1,000-1,500.
I think i found these cpu's at a bargain price. Both new.
i9-13900K at 500 euros
i9-13900KS at 650 euros
Is there a real reason to buy the KS instead? I undestand there's a 5% performance boost at best.
Am I missing something else? Maybe futureproofing with the KS?
Suggestions?
