June 5, 2008 - It’s in the Ubuntu and Arch repos, and should be in any other distro’s repositories too. It doesn’t manage the desktop by default, so open it, go to Edit > Preferences > Desktop and check “Show Desktop Icons” and “Wallpaper”. The downside is, it doesn’t really look that great. It’s easy though. Keep in mind that, if you want the background to appear every time you boot the pc (as you probably will), you have to add “pcmanfm &” to your ~/.icewm/startup.
