Nothing about that looks out of the ordinary. The serial number makes sense. ICS (“Crafted in Indonesia”) – The first 2 numbers following the prefix is the year. 8 or 9-digit number. In 2009-10 some Indonesian Squier's had the prefix ICS09XXXXX and ICS10XXXXX. Usually the S in ICS designates a Factory Special Run or FSR guitar manufactured by Cor-Tek in Indonesia. So this one is a Indonesian model made in 2020. The markings look right. The pickups and body look right. The headstock looks right. Nothing to worry about here homie. Also most people don’t fake Squier package guitars. These are as mass produced as it gets while still being a playable instrument. People would have to be insane to make fake student model squiers. Indonesian Serial Number Squiers “Crafted in Indonesia”: Squier serial number IC – I = Indonesia, C = Cor-Tek (Cort), 8 or 9-cijfers. Serial number ICS – I = Indonesia, C = Cor-Tek (Cort), S = Squier, 8 or 7 digits. In 2009 and 2010, some Indonesian guitars had an ICS serial number with 7 digits instead of 8 or 9. Squier serial number ISS – I = Indonesia, S = Samick, S = Squier, 6 digits. IS serial – I = Indonesia, S = Samick, 8 or 9 digits. SI serial number – S = Squier, I = Indonesia, 8 or 9 digits. *************** It looks consistent with Indonesian Squier serials. My guess is made in 2020. Probably a Classic Vibe 70s Strat? Best I can tell, when Squier reworked the line in 2019, they began to add additional codes to the serial. First two as always are location and factory, so IC in this case is Indonesia, Cort. The SE also will have a meaning, but to be honest I have forgotten what it is. One is IIRC a month code, and I have no idea on the other. The guy I knew that told me (and many others on a Squier based forum) has since died and I can't find the post where he explained it. Fender has the goofiest way of registering serials, so there are literally THOUSANDS of legit guitars that don't show in their database. While faked Squiers (other than the JV and SQ serials from the early 80s) are rare, they do happen. If you bought it new from a dealer you should be fine, if you bought it used odds are its all good, especially in this case as Jaguars aren't really widely made by other companies as Strats and Teles are.
