This is my first pc build. There is so much information about fan curves online it’s overwhelming. I understand how to set up a fan curve in icue but I’m not sure what an ideal curve would look like. I don’t really care too much about fan noise I’m just wanting the best cooling possible for my setup. I don’t enjoy constantly looking at temps either. I just want to set it and forget it lol. What are some good similar settings that I could build/work off of? I have been using it on the preset balanced mode
Just built my my pc ryzen 7 9800x3d titan 360 aio 3500x case. So using icue link what’s the best fan curve to set up that will keep my system cool but also not sounding like a fighter jet. As of now while playing Minecraft(waiting for gpu to arrive) the fans ramp up and I feel like my pc is gonna ask me for a boarding pass and take off into the sky so If someone could screen shot their settings that would be greatly appreciated!!! Thx

Hi All
Got my first high end gaming PC a couple of weeks ago and feel the fans are louder than perhaps i imagined. I've not set any manual fan curves as of yet. I also think the machine is getting very warm (although haven't actual measurements to prove this). Couple of questions:
-
Should i set the fan curves in the iCue software or the motherboard Bios?
-
If in iCue do i always need the software open when using the PC for the curves to be active?
My spec is as follows:
Case - Hyte Y60
CPU - 7800x3d
GPU - MSI 4090
MB - Asus Z670-P
AIO Cooler - Corsair iCue H150i Elite Capel - set as exhaust
2x front case fans - Corsair iCue AF120 Elite set as intake
1x rear case fan - Corsair iCue AF120 Elite set as exhaust
2x pre installed case fans below the GPU - Flow FE12 3 pin fans - set as intake
Ryzen 9 7900x
saphire nitro+ 7900xtx
Corsair H150i link 360 aio
10 total qf120 fans in a 5000d case
So im new to setting custom fan curves, looking for fan curve reccomendations so my pc doesnt sound like a space ship ready for takeoff anytime temps get a lil high. I appreciate the help!
Hello guys. I just built a new 14900k and 4090 rig with a corsair 5000D airflow. I splurged because I upgraded from a 4770K rig with a 780 TI. Well this is my first computer with liquid cooling ever. I have the new qx version of the lcd 360 mm AIO. I have 3 qx 120 mm fans in the front and one 120 mm qx fan as the exhaust. I have all the fans connected to the icue link hub so they are all addressable. I am new to the Icue software and was curious if it has the ability apply presets downloaded online for pwm fan curves? I currently have all the fans set to a coolant curve that is super silent peaking at 30% pwm and 400-500 rpm only while gaming. After a long time like an hour of gaming max settings, the coolant temp will reach 50-51 and the 4090 is only 60 degrees. I like my current silent curve but I don't know if it is safe for other components on the motherboard. Basically could you guys give me silent fan curve pointers? Maybe show me pictures or tell me the values to plot in the software?
Hi all,
I'm using a commander pro and wondering if there are any optimal fan curve settings to follow in iCUE for case fans. I've found that the 'quiet' setting still runs the fans at around 1300rpm which seems excessive so I've set up a custom curve. Any thoughts or tips?

Hey all. I built a new pc a couple weeks ago, everything is fine, just a bit loud.
Cooler is a H170i elite... my 3 case fans are so corsair so I can tie them to Icue.
My coolant temp never really gets above 40. Mostly hovering around 38.
What should I have control my case fans? The fans on the radiator makes sense to use coolant temp. Although even the quiet curve is really loud it feels like.
Should I tie my case fans to that, gpu, or cpu? And is it fine to let it get a little hotter to be quieter or would I just be shifting the problem.
And when I say loud, no bad noises. Just a hum, but it's just quite loud. Much louder than my build prior, which was 3 case fans, 2 fans in a normal cpu cooler. Same gpu. So this is one more fan, but is the pump just that loud?
I recently updated icue and now my fans will not follow my custom fan curves. It's reading the temps right but will only set the fan speeds to whatever I have the first node in the curve set to and will not change when the temps change. So if I set the first node to 750rpm at 30 degrees and the next node at 1200 rpm at 40 degrees it doesn't matter if the CPU is at 70 degrees the fans will just sit at 750 rpm.
I tried repairing the software and restarted a couple times as well as creating a new fan curve save with no change. I have had no issues with the fan curves for a year and many updates until now.
I am trying to set my fan curve settings for my pc and am curious what the difference between the “Quiet” preset and the “Icue Link” preset is (full preset name includes the aio cooler name: “Icue Link H170i LCD Quiet”.
It seems there is an Icue link version for each of the three preset settings: quiet, balanced, and extreme. Does this link the fan curve to the temp of the aio? I noticed the aio pump only has these link preset options and not the regular versions.
If that is the case should I put all of my fans on this link preset? If I don’t will the normal non-link “quiet” preset still work correctly based on temperature?
What confused me is when I turn on device memory mode, I had the fans on the normal non-link “quiet” preset setting, but they weren’t spinning at all! They only started spinning after I changed them all to the Icue link preset version.
Hey guys pretty new to pc's and custom curves Is something I need to setup now ny primary use is gaming my specs are ryzen 7 7800x3d rtx 4090 ithe quiet preset just gets too loud any custom curves anyone can drop below for cool quiet gaming would be highly appreciated like I said really new to pc's so any help would be appreciated
So as the title states, i am having an issue where icue stops following the fan curves i have set and just puts them at a very low rpm constantly, as soon as i restart icue this resolves it, anyone have any idea as to why this is?
many thanks in advance.
Hey Guys, just build a new PC few Weeks ago and the fans are getting on my nerves. My CPU sometimes spikes rapidly in temps for a sec and my fans are going crazy for like 1-2 secs. So I’m trying to set up a proper Fan Curve.
I got 6x 140mm fans for my AIO, 8x 120mm for Intake and 1x 140mm fan for back exhaust.
Can u guys recommend me some curves in ICUE for AIO, Intake, Exhaust and to what sensor i should set these curves on ( I heard I shouldn’t put the intake fans to cpu temp) Last few pics showing als those sensors.
Thanks in Advance Guys!
My Specs: CPU: i9-13900k MB: Asus rog hero z790 Maximus AIO: Corsair ICUE Link H170i GPU: Asus Rog strip 4090

Are your fans set to pwm mode in bios? I use fancontrol to set my curves you could put the intake fans on a set percentage and then the exhaust on a curve to deal with the noise
I have noticed that on the aio there are 6 fan curves and on the regular QX fan hub only 3?
Is this just a placebo on the Ilink aio?? What is the diffrence?
Thanks in advance.

So I was watching a video by Jayztwocents a few days ago and he specifically states that the benefit to iCue is it can apply a fan curve to two different temperature probes at the same time. So... a fan curve that can adjust based on CPU temps and GPU temps... I have never seen this feature and I get pretty much nothing on a google search. I also tried setting up two fan curves with each one looking at different temps but the commander pro only allows you to apply one curve to each group of fans. Can anyone enlighten me here? I can not find this setting in iCue and I have been using iCue for the last two years.
Hi,
I've just updated my iCue to version 5.7.106 and my custom fan curve that I had created long before updating isn't working properly. Initially, my fans weren't spinning at all after updating. Once I had restarted my computer, they would spin, but I noticed that whatever RPM the first marker on the custom fan curve is set to (i.e 20C at 600RPM), the fans won't go any higher than maybe 50RPM above that, regardless of the temperature of the device it is operating the fan curve off of. The curve shows the yellow line in which the RPM should be at due to the current monitored temp (30-40C at 800-1000RPM), but the fans won't budge.
I've tried restarting my PC, check for graphics updates, check for windows updates and they're still only reacting to wherever I set the first marker on the custom curve. I've moved that marker from 600RPM to 1000RPM, and all the fans react accordingly, but they only react to the first marker.
For context, they also react to setting them to any of the Corsair presets, but they react the same as they do for the custom preset, which is irritating. Also, I've checked for firmware updates within iCue as well, and everything is up-to-date.
Any ideas on what might be the issue? My guess is that it's a software bug, as it just doesn't make any logical sense to me, and it has come about from updating my iCue software.
I am having issues on occasion when I launch my computer and it seems like iCUE is causing it.
Just wondering if I disable iCUE on startup, will my fan profile still save by default?
The issue that happens is sometimes my NVIDIA driver just won't launch when I turn on my computer, whenever this happens, there is something wrong with iCUE and nothing else, so I think that is what is causing it.
In order to get it working again, I need to turn off the computer, and then turn off the power at the wall and then it will decide to launch again with no driver installed.
So I'm trying to ser custom fan curves for my 5000d case fans and also for my h150i rgb elite fans. So I have some questions:
1.what is coolant temp? There is a h150i coolant temp graph in icue software
2. what sensor should I use for my h150i fans? (13700k package, h150i coolant, ...)
3. my h150i pump is running at 2200rpm, is it OK? Should I change the preset? (I can't create custom fan curve for my pump, so i set it to balanced)
4. what sensor should I use for my 5000d fans? (4080 temp, something else...)
5. how do I create the best fan curve? For some reason when idle/in chrome or talking in discord, my cpu is sitting at around 43-50C, and when gaming, 70--85C (my cpu is 13700k).
(I'm a nooby in those stuff so sorry if I ask dumb questions)
Now I'm pretty sure as this is the 3rd time it happens (having trouble with power grid...).
every time the power goes out and the PC resets, ICUE loses the custom settings of the fans :(
