I talked to Corsair support yesterday cause I had a similar issue with an SFX PSU. And they said it was perfectly fine to connect it to the PCIE daisy chain that my 3080 is currently connected to. For reference, I have 6 QX 120 fans and the iCue Link H150i all hooked up to that iCue link hub that is daisy chained to that connection. Here’s a picture of the setup before I got the bottom three QX fans on. More on reddit.com

iCUE LINK Cable Request

This is amazing. Corsair and all their reps have always taken care of my friends and I. I cannot think of another company in the PC hardware space that does things as well as Corsair while competing in as many segments as they do. I just recently got the qx120 fans and am excited to hook them up to my pc, but I’m having trouble connecting the icue link hub to power since it uses a 6-pin pcie. I use an evga 850gm for a sfx power supply, I attached the image of the ports for reference. I’m using Vga 1 & 2 for my 3070 ti, cpu 1, sata 1, and MB ports right now. The only cables that connect to icue link are the 6-pin connectors for vga 1 & 2. I understand that the new hardware needs more power so they have to use pcie, but most people use two pcie ports for their gpu. Is there something I’m missing or do I need a new gpu? I appreciate any help since there’s not a ton of info on icue link yet since their so new.
