It’s the perfect dresser. I’ve been trying to purchase one for months, but every time I try the availability is blink-and-you miss it. The sleek, clean look of the Malm collection is what makes Ikea Ikea - and there’s simply no way I can afford similar items that are 4, 5, even 6 times the price. Is anyone else feeling blue about the current state of Ikea’s products, and just how difficult it has become to style a modern living space on a fairly humble budget? Is there another store/website out there people could recommend?

I almost drove to another state for it but they brought about a dozen units to my local IKEA. I had signed up for the notification, picked them up day off, in the middle of moving. This was last July. Never saw them again. I read that a bunch of children died from the dresser falling on them, that's why they recalled it. I'm childfree and my cats are tiny, so 🤷🏽♀️

I know this is an old thread but I just had the same problem with a 3 drawer Malm and the problem was the screws on the drawer tracks were not flush. More on reddit.com
