How to make IKEA Brimnes chest of 5 drawers (black) look cozier without painting?
My boyfriend and I are looking to upgrade our dresser. We don’t have a closet, so we need enough drawers that are going to fit all of our clothing.
I was doing a bit of research and found the Nordli 8 drawer dresser from Ikea and was very interested and set on getting that one. But apparently it is discontinued?
I like the sleek, minimal look of the Ikea dressers. I came across the Kullen 5 drawer dresser and was thinking of buying 2 to push together to make a total of 10 drawers for us (which would make it look like one big dresser). Could I do that with these?
I also want to make sure I am buying something sturdy with smooth-opening drawers. I see these Kullen drawers are new with Ikea, so there are no reviews yet on the website.
I am also open to other suggestions of dressers that fit what I am looking for. (minimal, preferably solid color ((like white or black)), STURDY, with a minimum or 8-10 drawers ((or one that I can buy 2 of to push together)).
Thanks in advance! :)
I don’t think this is an error on my part since the slides are short and only reach 3/4 across the drawers both on the drawer and the unit.
Is this normal? All other videos I’ve seen of other colors have the slides go from front to back.
Because of this my drawers only open halfway and leaves a lot of space where I have to reach my hand under to put the clothes
Hej! I have an IKEA Brimnes chest of 5 drawers in black, and painting isn’t really an option for me. I’d like to make it look a bit cozier and cuter, but I’m not sure what would actually work with its design.
I was thinking maybe adding a runner or tablecloth on top, or changing the handles, but I can’t quite picture what would fit with the shape/style of the Brimnes. For some reason it feels harder to “renovate” than other furniture.
Any ideas for easy, renter-friendly changes that could make it look warmer and more inviting?
